  • What is H2S?
  • Hydrogen Sulphide is one of the most toxic gases handled in oil & gas field
  • How does it smell? Can we smell it?
  • Its smell is like a rotten Egg, but we can’t smell it during leakage because after doing smell it we can alive
  • Say 3 properties of H2S?
  • 1. Highly toxic. 2. Flammable ignited at 292’C. 3. Colorless & is 1.2 times heavier than air. 4. Soluble in water
  • What is the permissible exposure limit to work?
  • The permissible limit is 10 PPM (parts per million) for 8 hours
  • How would you protect yourself from H2S during leakage?
  • At the time of emergency, we will use or wear a Gas Mask
